Listening to music has never been easier than it is today, there are many streaming services that allow you to stream nearly everything you'd like to hear for roughly 10 dollars a month. Along with the rise of streaming something unexpected happened, the most appreciated audio format from the 60s and 70s started rising from the dead. The amount of sold vinyl records has been increasing ever since streaming became the most popular music medium. The movement towards older tech could never have been predicted. Therefore, this study dives into why people are making this transition and explores the values that cause it. The results are worked into personas that will describe the "average vinyl record listener" to provide designers with insights on how they can design for the target group that started this unexpected phenomena.
